A cookie bar with a graham cracker crust, topped with coconut and a combination of Semi-Sweet, White Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Butterscotch chips and Toffee Bits, baked together to create a Magic Cookie Bar experience!

I have been making this cookie bar recipe for years, it is similar to all the other Magic Cookie, Hello Dolly or Seven Layer Bars (whatever you choose to call them) out there except I don’t add nuts to mine, however if you want to and are a nut lover you could definitely add 1 cup of nuts to these. I personally don’t like nuts much in my cookies, bars, brownies or any baked goods, if you have been following this blog you will know that:) However… I am trying to expand my tastes a bit more but I still am not a fan of nuts that much in baked goods. Whatever combination you choose, I hope you enjoy your own customizable Magic Cookie Bars.

Magic Cookie Bars
Ingredients:
1 stick unsalted butter
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 cups shredded coconut
2 cups of any combination of chocolate, butterscotch, peanut butter, or toffee chips
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Melt butter. Add the graham cracker crumbs to a 9×13 inch baking pan. Pour melted butter over top of crumbs and stir until thoroughly combined. Once mixed well, press down with fingers, forming a bottom layer. You may need to wet your finger tips with water to help the crumbs to stick together.
  3. Sprinkle coconut on top of crust, then add your candy chips combination.
  4. Pour the condensed milk on top of all the ingredients in the pan.
  5. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until well browned. Cool in pan on a rack. Cut into squares.

  11. Oh my gosh, this would so hit the spot right now. Frozen yogurt would definitely be nixed for one or two of these cookie bars instead. I like nuts but I would devour these just the same.

    Happy New Year!
