This is without a doubt the best dog-gone banana bread in the whole wide world–probably even the universe!!!

This banana bread has pineapples, nuts, and great spices.  I got the recipe from a Better Homes magazine about 15 years ago…   It is so moist and flavorful.   You are going to love it…

INGREDIENTS
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cloves
3/4 cup butter
3 egss
2 cups mashed ripe bananas
1 8-oz can crushed pineapple
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup finely chopped pecans

PREHEAT OVEN TO 325 F
degrees

In a medium bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking soda, spices, salt and set aside.
In a large bowl, beat butter  till smooth (about 1 minute).  Add eggs, banana, undrained pineapple, and vanilla.  Beat till combined.  Add flour mixture and beat on low speed till combined.  Beat one minute more and fold in pecans.

NOW— here’s the fun part.   I only had 1 cup of bananas,  so I added 1/2 cup of applesauce and 1/2 cup mashed peaches.   That is why you see some peaches in the pictures.  It came out great.  But Ive made this recipe a hundred times and is great with just bananas– it is fantastic–but  the other way is good too.  Have fun experimenting!!!

Spread batter in a WELL-BUTTERED and floured 10″ bundt pan.  and bake at 325 degrees for 70 to 75 minutes.–or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool cake on wire rack for 10 minutes and remove cake from pan.  You can decorate with a sprinkling of powdered sugar, but I don’t like the extra sugar.
